We started the drive back to Richmond today.  Left around 2 - got up late from last night and had a lot of packing to do and then we had lunch.  I should have known it was going to go poorly when the Mars Cheese Castle was closed when we got there.  We arrived at 3:03 and they closed at 3.  It was snowing a bit as we drove through Chicago, but we took 294 and avoided most of the traffic.  Coming into Indiana, the snow picked up more and traffic slowed down.  We averaged about 40 miles an hour, but there were spots of white out conditions.  It continued to get worse, so we decided to stop in Lafayette, IN.  We only made it 225 miles.  Tomorrow, we have 678 to go and google predicts about 11 hours.

Did I mention that my throat hurts and I feel sick?
